A day that may alter your life!

This relevant, practical, and stimulating one-day retreat has been developed for management/management teams/department teams/supervisors/etc. It has been specifically designed for personal introspection, refocusing, and planning the rest of one’s life. In doing so, participant’s will feel more confident, be more productive, perform their jobs more effectively and live more contently. The one-day personal retreat takes the participants on a journey considering their overall wellness, life balance, time management/life priorities, their attitude, life goals, happiness, and stress management. All of these, after careful consideration, will be blended in a life’s mission statement written by the participant. Living this mission statement daily will allow all who participate to intentionally LIVE their life mission while enjoying that journey. SUICIDE IS A PERMANENT SOLUTION to a TEMPORARY PROBLEM!

This presentation initially focuses on the sad facts/statistics regarding teen suicide. It also addresses the sign/symptoms of teen suicide. In addition, Tom addresses how one can respond in a caring, non-judgmental way to confront someone who may be severely depressed.

These “pieces” offer both parents and their teens a model to “work through” and gain some practical information and life skills needed to strategically prepare for some big decisions regarding healthy relationships and sexual activity. It also shares several “contracts” that can be used between the parents and their teen to insure accountability. This presentations’ content comes from a book I have written and published. The presentation will address those critically important issues that need to be discussed and communicated with your pre-teens. As you know, there are several big, possibly even life-altering decisions that your pre-teen will have to make soon in their lives. Just a few of these decisions include alcohol and drug use, sexual activity, smoking, driving responsibly, etc. The presentation assists the parent, guardian, mentor, teacher, etc. with not only the needed information but with a variety of relevant and practical interactive activities that can be done together WITH the pre-teen to enhance communication and build the necessary trust that’s needed between a pre-teen and their responsible caring adult. The presentation provides the necessary knowledge and specific and relevant strategies to assist pre-teens as they begin to make those choices and develop relationships.

The gift of gratitude is a priceless gift. This presentation focuses on 10 ways to practice gratitude while you develop your thankful attitude. Ways to “master” the gratitude attitude will be discussed as well. A gratitude journal will be suggested after listening to this presentation.

SITTOSIS: Interventional Strategies that can help for those who have to SIT too long.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Business employees
LENGTH: 1 hr.

The next person who implores you to “don’t just sit there” might be your physician. “Sittosis”, the lack of movement because of sitting too long, may be inhibiting the circulation of lipase, an enzyme that absorbs fat. Learn about the dangers of too much sitting and strategies to intervene when sitting long hours in the workplace or at home. Participants are free to stand during this session.

This power point addresses a few maybe unknown facts about sleep. It shares what happens when we sleep. It also shares common signs of sleep deprivation, sleep disorders and bed basic tips. An interesting small portion addresses what your sleeping position may say about your personality! It offers tips for getting a good night sleep and concludes with the benefits of a good nights sleep. Start getting a good nights rest tomorrow so you feel rejuvenated and energized to hit the day running!

This presentation addresses the latest research on optimism, positive attitudes, and laughter and the effects on our human brain. The title resembles the "Got Milk" campaign. During this 2 hour presentation, Tom will discuss the powerful effect of choosing your attitude daily and "infecting" others with it by intention. He will also share the latest research on the benefits of laughter on the human body including the brain. Intermittently he will share some humor as the beneficial effects are discussed.
